Women of Hope

Women of Hope International is a ministry committed to seeing the lives of women with disabilities in the developing world transformed through Christ. In Sierra Leone the all-national staff provide advocacy, support, training and equipping in the areas of health promotion, small business skills, literacy and discipleship in this predominantly Muslim society. These women are some of the most marginalized in a society where the disabled are viewed as cursed by God and half-human. The Women of Hope U.S. staff consists of Kim Kargbo, President and CEO, Kelsey Martin, Director of Development and Partnerships and Amy Hawkins (CPC Member), Director of Operations who support ministry on the ground from Women of Hope International’s Memphis Headquarters. These local missionaries travel often to Sierra Leone to help with program implementation, staff discipleship and the Fair Trade Initiative, while also focusing on equipping other international agencies and ministries to better support women with disabilities and promote disability awareness.
