Craig and Stacy met in 1994 as each were preparing to serve with MTW’s 2-year program: Craig in Ecuador and Stacy in Chile. After Stacy served an additional two years in Kenya and Craig completed seminary training in St. Louis, they married in April 2000. Their two daughters are Karis and Aimee Grace. The Pohls first served for nine years with MTW in Ecuador assisting in university ministry, church planting/development, and team leadership. In 2012, at the invitation of local Presbytery leaders and MTW, they transitioned to a new field of service – Chile! The Pohl’s home is now in Santiago – Chile’s bustling capital of nearly 7 million people.
The Pohl’s primary focus is to assist the Chilean presbytery in training a new generation of pastors, church planters and leaders. Craig serves both as the director and a professor in the presbytery’s Reformed Theological Academy. Together Craig and Stacy (often assisted by the girls!) seek to strengthen existing church ministries and facilitate the work of new church plants – through ministries of teaching, mentoring and active participation.
