What to Expect
Welcome to Christ Presbyterian Church! When you visit us you will find parking for the disabled located at the rear of the church giving you easy access to the sanctuary and most classrooms. In the case of inclement weather, there is a covered entrance on the west side of our building. The majority of the parking you will find in the lower lot which faces the front of our building. As you enter our building on Sunday morning, you will be greeted at the door and given a bulletin with the Order of Worship and several announcements. You may also pick up a visitor’s information brochure from a table at either of the main foyers. We have two nurseries available – Infants and Crawlers Room 102 (birth – 23 months) and Toddlers (2–3 years) Room 101. (Click here for more information on our church nurseries) At age 4, children join their parents in worship and are invited to attend Wee Worship following the offertory, a service modeled after the adult worship service but age appropriate. Wee Worship does not meet on the first Sunday of the month so all of our leaders can participate in the Celebration of the Lord’s Supper. (click here for more information on Wee Worship)
Announcements begin at 10:25am and worship begins at 10:30am. The service typically ends between 11:30am – 11:45am. We celebrate communion together on the first Sunday of every month. Worship includes the elements of prayer, liturgy, congregational hymns and contemporary worship songs, choir anthems or special music, and a sermon. The music style is blended utilizing piano, guitar, violin as well as other instruments on a regular basis.
Will I fit in? Please feel free to dress as you prefer. You will see people in suits and jeans, skirts and slacks. We want you to feel comfortable and welcome among our church family.
Will I be contacted after I visit? We would love to follow up with you and answer any questions you might have but we want to respect you as you process what you’ve seen and heard as well as be sensitive to your personal schedule. If you would like to be contacted, please let us know by checking “desire a call” on the friendship pads which are passed during the offering, and also give us a number where you may be reached.
“We are here for the convinced and unconvinced alike and seek to give real answers to real questions.”

Teacher: Mike Salzgeber
Gospel of Luke
Teacher: Joe McPherson, Elder
College students are welcome to attend either one of the adult classes!
You may learn a lot about our church from the website and from attending worship, but the best way to get a feel for our church is through an Inquirer’s class. These classes are offered several times a year, usually during the Sunday school hour. In the class, the pastor will cover the basic beliefs of our church and explain our vision for our church and community. There is no obligation or pressure to join the church after completing the class, but participation is required in order to join CPC.
If you are interested in church membership, the following steps must be completed:
- The first step is to sign-up for an Inquirer’s Class and attend as often as you are able. These classes are offered two or three times a year. Please call the church office to learn more or to sign-up: 662.895.7035
- If you desire to join the church after completing a class, simply let Robert Browning or one of our elders know. An elder or staff member will setup a membership interview for you and your family. The informal interview will be held with two or three of our elders who will hear how Christ has worked or is working in your life and can receive you into membership and discuss with you the role of a member at CPC.
- Once you have been received as a member, a staff member will contact you about taking your public vows before the congregation. We try to schedule this within 4 weeks of your interview.
