Inquirer’s Classes and Church Membership

You may learn a lot about our church from the website and from attending worship, but the best way to get a feel for our church is through an Inquirer’s class. These classes are offered several times a year, usually during the Sunday school hour. In the class, one of our pastors will cover the basic beliefs of our church and explain our vision for our church and community. There is no obligation or pressure to join the church after completing the class, but participation is required in order to join CPC.

If you are interested in church membership, the following steps must be completed:

1) The first step is to sign-up for an Inquirer’s class and attend as often as you are able. These classes are offered two or three times a year. Please call the church office to learn more or to sign-up: 662.895.7035

2) If you desire to join after completing a class, simply let one of the pastors know. An elder or staff member will setup a membership interview for you and your family. The informal interview will be held with three of our elders who will hear your profession of faith in Christ, can receive you into membership, and discuss with you the role of a member at CPC.

3) Once you have been received as a member, a staff member will contact you about taking your public vows before the congregation. We try to schedule this during a within 4 weeks of your interview.
